Turkey Dinner

We had our Turkey dinner on Boxing day. We just had a simple dinner you know. I cooked a Turkey broccoli and potatoes. I made some gravy and some stuffing. We were supposed to go to my sis-in-law but my daughter still sick so we didn't take a risk of going since they have kids. Hubby went there by himself. As you all know Turkey is a traditional food for occasion in North America. To tell the truth I didn't even realize it before that this critter is a "Pabo" that's how we say it in my native language.

It's a Chinese Restaurant where you can eat all you want but it's impossible to eat it all...lol. Anyway we were invited by a friend's birthday. Dessert will be shared next week! Red Delicious

The red delicious apples are sweet and juicy. It's available available year-round. it's one of my favorite. it should be eaten out-of-hand. The texture disintegrates with heat. To keep apples from browning, toss with apple juice or citrus. Red delicious apples are also perfect for apple pie.

Red Bell Peppers

Bell peppers are sweet peppers. Chunky in shape, but nearly hollow inside. Bell peppers wear many colors: green, blond, orange, yellow, red, purple-black. Green peppers are available year-round. When buying peppers look for firm, vividly colored with smooth and shiny skin. I took that photo when I went to the grocery one day!

Butternut Squash

I took this photo one Saturday when we visited a farm. We all know that there different kinds of squash so today I'm sharing butternut squash. Butternut is one of the commonly available winter squashes. Winter squashes have hard skins, firmer flesh and larger seeds than summer squashes. Butternut is 8 to 12 inches long and tan in color. Two-thirds of it's body is cylindrical, then it broadens into a bulbous shape.

Last Saturday after the Greenway we went to the mall for ice cream. It was very hot so the mall seems to be the right place to hang out. But I had to be very careful with my wallet you know! It's very tempting. However I got a photography book.
